Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers andor hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls prepares operating instructions designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. We develop full stack web applications using a microservice architecture. You will collaborate with other product managers and fellow engineers to implement features that makes a real impact in their everyday work. Help develop an integrated software architecture using SDKs and APIs to weave vast amounts of data together in an evolving enterprise environment. You will contribute to a future-ready, high quality, and performant code base and apply software development best-practices to develop applications that your users will love. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) from an accredited UniversityCollege Experience in Back End development using Node.js, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and RESTGraphQL APIs Experience in Front End development using React, Angular, or Vue DevOps experience to setup, configure and maintain your own devbuild environment Ability to quickly learn new SDKs and develop custom applications Knowledge of modern software engineering best practices including test driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, and 12 factor app Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a STEM Discipline from an accredited UniversityCollege Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) Data technologies such as MapReduce, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch Commercial cloud (AWS) DevOps and CICD experienceUIUX optimization techniques Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Active open source contributions Active Secret DoD Clearance Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
